Senior Software Engineer, Android - San Jose, CA

Overview

Duties and Responsibilities

You will be responsible for defining, designing, implementing, enhancing and testing the platform components and applications for the next generation mobile devices based on Android.

Qualifications

• Smart, analytical, self-driven, and creative problem solver
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Professional experience with Java
• Expertise in at least one of the following technical areas:
  • Developing Android applications using SDK and NDK
  • Android framework components
• Good understanding of services, providers, activities and receivers
• Familiarity with version control systems

Other Desirable Traits

• Published applications in Android
• Strong understanding of (and experience working with) design environments/techniques such as Test-Driven Development, Agile Development, Xtreme Programming, Object Oriented Design…
• Expertise in OpenGL-ES
• Strong interest in technology
• Knowledge of compiler internals
• Strong interest in technology
